What is the best season for family pictures?
Summer!
Follow me here: Without a doubt, a photographer's busiest season is fall. Those elusive 2-3 weeks, that change every year and are never 100% predictable, when the leaves turn to brilliant colors of golds and reds and oranges. Yes. Fall is a beautiful time for family pictures.
If you want those fall family pictures, you'll no doubt need to get in touch with a photographer by March or April. That's how fast those dates fill up.
BUT WHAT ABOUT SUMMER!? Specifically, late July and August.
Specifically, right now.
Here are six reasons why I believe summer is the best season for family pictures.
1. Summer sunsets are MAGICAL PERFECTION and don't happen until 8pm or later.
2. Your family is in a nice, quiet lull, sun-kissed and rested from your recent vacation.
3. Organized sports are even at a standstill.
4. Summer clothes are ON SALE, too, so pulling together a perfectly coordinated wardrobe is less expensive, and summer styles are often casual and easy-going.
5. Your kids aren't getting any younger.
6. Do you have kids leaving for college? (Enough said.)
I currently have openings available for weeknight family pictures in July and August!
Let's get this checked off your list before school starts.
You'll be so happy you did.
